The final project!

The last day of this process project have left me with my final project of a childrens book of colors. I'm quite happy with how it came out. The actual book is about 5 inches tall and 4 inches wide. The book is bound with sewing thread which I hand sewed. I use cray-pay crayons to create the front page and the color name on each page. Each page features a baggy of the day's color. I'm really happy with the finished product and my first shot at making a book. Feel free to leave me comments on what you think.

Begining the book making process

Today I began to make the book for the project. Using one large sheet of Kraft Paper, I was able to fold the book into a trifold and then fold pages into it. Each color has it's own plastic baggy which will be sewn into each page. Then the reader will be able to take the pieces out of the bag if they would like. Stop by tomorrow to see the finished project.

Violet Day

Violet day was pretty bleak due to the weather. Troy is iced over and the garbage is hidden underneath. The spot where I gathered the green glass from the broken bottle looked beautiful as if it was stained glass in the ice. I was able to find this violet crayon rubble in the basement of a friends house. - Emelie
